Latest Defeat Last Straw for England Fans

I am not a fair weather England fan. I have supported the national team through thick and thin and spent a vast amount of money on tickets/travel/booze supporting them. When fellow blogger Dom was down on them this season I backed them, believed in them. I dared to dream that maybe after the Wales game, some plan was taking shape. But I was wrong. Fact is, England are shit. After seven years of underachievement it should have dawned on me maybe, but hey I am an optimist. But no more with regards to this shower. I have had it with this lot. The coaching (sic) selection is a joke, and the players are a mixture of has beens and never will be anythings. The worst failing is the front five. I mean I ask you… Borthwick and Deacon. Has a worse second row pairing ever represented England in living memory? If so I can’t remember it. Pathetic. Nothing but hum drum shite in store either. I mean, Cipriani has fucked off to Australia, who is left to come in and give some hope? Nobody, that’s who. Well done Rob Andrew, Elite Rugby Director or whatever you are called. Well done you mealy-mouthed prick.

  1. Language Timothy!

    I understand your frustrations Matt.

This should be a turning point for this England team.
Borthwick and Johnson need to abandon the same delusions which symbolised the Andy Robinson years.

Truth is that none of us knows where to go from here.

A cull of these players most of whom are woefully short of the requisite talent, brains or both (see 2% post)?

What’s the point of doing that now? For RWC 2011, it’s too late. I’ve said before this needed to happen during the autumn internationals 2009 if not before.

However, the change needs to come at the top.

Free-thinkers are not welcome – see treatment of Foden, Geraghty and, worst of all, Cipriani.

The time has come for England to abandon Rob Andrew and the Leicester mafia.

Woodward will not be available to clear out the stuffy hierarchy until autumn 2012.

An embarrassing performance, the whole pack were a disgrace, Deacon has to be one of the most anonymous players to wear the shirt. Monye simply doesn’t have a clue about (i) finishing or (ii) positioning.

The scoreline flatters England, Ireland outclassed England in every department, maybe except for stupidity, where the idiot Care excelled yet again.

I mentioned the other week how poor a player Haskell is, yesterday he proves that no matter how fit and strong you are, if you don’t have an ounce of talent, you will look stupid when you come up against a player with bundles. Crane, Armitage need to come in immediately.

Time for Johnson, Andrew and all the other muppets to stand aside, we’ve gone backwards very quickly and with a World Cup less than two years away. Perhaps it will take two more defeats away to Scotland and France before Johnson finally realises that this brand of rugby will win nothing.
